"Top Hay Recipe" at cheese farm De Hooiberg

TOPHOOI recipe for Kaasboerderij De Hooiberg in Bladel:

  • Fertilised above-ground with 12m³ of vitalised slurry, with 0.5L of Free N and 0.5 Free PK included. Free N Azotobacter provides 20 to 40N throughout cultivation. Free PK bacillus mucilaginosis helps with mineral release.

  • Grassclover mix SENCIER n°4 (13 varieties) vitalised and coated in the concrete mixer with VITAMIN for faster germination and juvenile growth and with BCX 900 + 2 for better rooting and nutrition for soil life.

Sown on 20 June and cut on 8 August : only 49 days from sowing to hay in dry, hot weather with barely 15 mm of rain. No sprinkling and still 20 big packs of beautiful hay on a fat 5ha.

Free N and Free PK keep on working, on to the next cut!
